Apostle Edward L. Johnson, Sr. was chosen by God at 18 years of age in the summer of 1983.  God sent him a witness that was filled with the Holy Ghost.  Afterward, through reading and studying the Word, God himself changed his whole being.

 

Johnson began to isolate himself from the world, and gave up the sinful lifestyle he once lived and began to cleave to Jesus.  Then God began to reveal himself to him in dreams and visions; God spoke and told him to go thou and preach the gospel to the whole world.  He refused the calling because he was not in church, and he was afraid that people would not believe him.  God began to reveal himself more.  He told Johnson “many will not believe I’ve called you, but go and Lo I am with you always; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” As Johnson accepted his calling, the Lord told him, “Peace I leave with you, Peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  God then led Apostle Johnson to saints that knew his will.  He later united in Holy Matrimony to Patricia Ann James on June 15, 1985, and birth was given to 4 girls and 2 boys.  God gave him a great vision about starting a ministry.  He then founded and established Moring Star in 1994.  Apostle Johnson obtained an Associates of Business Administration from Florence Darlington Technical College. He then obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with Magna Cum Laude honors from Walden University. For God has shown him a great people to reach.  God has ordained and anointed him with the five-fold ministry of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher.  Many signs and wonders are being done by our Apostle, Bishop, Overseer, Teacher, and Guide
